Thank you to everyone for another great year!

This year's Derby was once again a great success, with all kinds of records broken! We had 242 derby entrants and 7 sponsor entrants. We weighed in 137 salmon (previous record was 87) We had 90 different people weigh in (previous was 62) The top 10 average weight was 28.6 lbs (previous was 18.9) Winning salmon weighed 34.5 lbs (previous was 34.1) and we gave away over $20,000 in cash and prizes (previous was just over $16,500). We had entrants this year from Montana, Idaho and Washington.

Hank Payne of Omak won first place in the adult division with his 34.5 lb. catch, and Walter Dawson of Brewster won first place in the 14 and under division with a 23.6 lb. catch.

We had 58 sponsors this year also. We want to thank all of our Sponsors who supported the derby this year. What a phenominal year with cash and prize donations. It was awesome and we personally thank each and every one of them throughout the derby. Without you, we could not hold this event. You are all truly appreciated more than you know! We also want to thank the Dept of Fish and Wildlife Fish Biologist Dick and Nathan for all their hard work and help throughout the derby, you guys were great. We also want to thank all of our great volunteers from the Chamber and the Community that spent many hours helping out. Thank you so much. And finally, a big thank you and hug to Becky Smith, Desha Dawson and Rebecca Meadows for the long, long hours you spent at Derby HQ. Such dedication and energy for all three days. Thank you!
