We had a great time at the Derby last year. We had 137 fish weighed in and over $20,000.00 in prizes awarded! The 1st place prize went to Hank Payne with a 34.5 lb. catch. In the 14 & Under division, Walter Dawson was the winner with a 23.6 lb. catch.

This year, we will have Salmon Seminars by Shane Magnasen and Jarrod Gibbons from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on August 5th at the home of J.D. Smith, 910 Sunset Drive, Brewster with beverages (BYOB), then the Derby kicks off on Friday, August 6th and continues through Sunday, August 8th.

Entry fee is $35.00 per person -- $25.00 for 14 years old and under. You may bring your registration form and fee (CASH ONLY) to the Seminar and receive Derby Tickets. Sidepots

1. Individual Total Weight Side Pot:

  • $5.00 entry each day
  • Must pay previous day prior to fishing (i.e. pay on Thursday for Friday, pay Friday for Sat. etc.)
  • Maximum of Two King Salmon for each entrant per day.
  • Total weight of your fish is scored.
  • Highest total weight for the day wins the side pot.
  • 100% payout.

2. Team Total Weight Avg. Side Pot:

  • $5.00 entry per day
  • Must have all team members names registered with the scoring committee.
  • Must pay previous day prior to fishing (i.e. pay on Thursday for Friday, pay Friday for Sat. etc.)
  • Maximum of Two King Salmon for each team entrant per day. (i.e if you have two people on your team each member can weigh in up to two King salmon per day).
  • Weight is totaled for each team then divided by number of team members. (i.e. if there are two members and a total weight of 22 lbs. then the formula is 22 ÷ 2 = 11 lbs avg. If there are 4 team members and a total weight of 42 lbs, then the formula is 42 ÷ 4 = 10.5 lbs avg.)
  • Highest total avg. weight for the day wins the side pot.
  • 100% payout

3. Derby Total Weight Side Pot:

  • $10.00 entry for the derby
  • Maximum of 2 King Salmon for each entrant per day, 6 King salmon for the derby.
  • Total weight of all fish you score for the derby.
  • Highest total weight for the Derby wins the side pot
  • 100% payout

4. Mystery Fish Weight:

  • The Derby Committee shall pre-determine a Mystery Fish Weight.
  • The weight does not necessarily have to be in the top 25 to win.
  • The King Salmon weighing in at the closest to or actual weight of the mystery weight, wins Cash or Prize valued at $100 minimum.
